I wish I could sit down with you at the little coffee shop on the corner by my house, buy you a latte and chat about the last few years and all the hard stuff God has been teaching me. I really, really do! There’s so much to tell honestly. Gaining 30 lbs and losing it again, suffering from debilitating Endometriosis and then healing it, my decade
There’s so much to tell honestly. Gaining 30 lbs and losing it again, suffering from debilitating Endometriosis and then healing it, my decade plus of struggling with depression…our marriage falling apart before it even started, that’s one I pray we can share when the time is right! It’s a tough one! Also things like living dangerously close to the poverty line for a few years of my 20’s, businesses failing right out from under me, especially when I needed the income more than ever before. Oh and that time I almost opened a Barre studio franchise! And a few other crazy things…
And I definitely will tell those stories ASAP because I believe stories are some of the most powerful things on this planet! I really think personal stories have such an awesome way to heal, inspire and even set people free!
For today I’ll share part of my wellness philosophy. And this matters so freaking much to because of the things I’ve been through. Because I gained 30lbs right before my wedding and that sucked! Because I spent over a year with Endo so bad I could only get out of bed and work 1-2 weeks out of the month (and also because my awful doctor just told me to go on disability and get over it! Seriously!) Because I’ve had depression so bad I didn’t want to keep living! Because wellness is at the CORE of all we do, and I’ve learned that the hard, hard way over the years.
You may have heard me talk about the 5 types of wellness I believe we all share on live videos on my Facebook page or in the Thrive Tribe group. And I didn’t just throw these together in a few minutes trying to write a catchy blog post…nope! These are literally categories I’ve been praying on and struggling through for years. I’ve always found it so hard to be consistent across the board, and of course, life happens! So it’s not a source of perfectionism, but it is a way that has helped me stay organized and intentional with my habits and time.
5 Areas of Wellness:
5. Purposeful (aka, your calling & living an intentional life!)
These are things you will hear me talk about a LOT over the course of this year because they are near and dear to my heart! Simply that. I feel my calling is oddly both business and wellness. My calling is setting women & families free through Jesus + entrepreneurship, but I cannot ignore wellness when it’s so essential to living a free and intentional life. You can’t have a life of freedom without wellness, so it will be a massive piece of my work-based pie this year!
If you’re cool with that, awesome! Please stick around dear, I love to have you in this Tribe! If not, that’s cool too!
But y’all, I do need your help with one thing if you will! I just whipped up a 2 question Wellness Survey that would be a huge help to me if you can spare 5 seconds to take it! (You don’t even need to answer both questions if you don’t want to! ha!)
OR you could hit “reply” to this email and tell me which wellness areas you’re unhappy with, and maybe which ones are going well too! And also letting me know if you’d be interested in a free class or free ebook on eating super cheap, but also super healthy?! (I’m talking like less than $40 a week for two people cheap! Sometimes as cheap as $25 for two people! Yes really!)
Is that something you’d like? Because if so I’ll roll it out super soon!
with love & blessings,
Ps. Please don’t forget to hop on over to the survey and just spend one hot second on it! I will appreciate it SO much and it will help me create content that matters this year, not just more noise on the internet! Even just filling out one of the questions will help me so much! Thank you!
